Separate the small parts
Use a different tray for each assembly or stage of a repair. The three diameters give you a choice between a compact spot for a few screws and more room for larger fasteners.
Magnetic base, protected contact
A rubber cover sits between the magnet and the mounting surface. Clean away grit before placing the tray on finished metal, and check that the surface holds the tray securely.
Keep the bench easy to reset
The rounded trays nest for storage. Empty and wipe them before putting them away so stray metal particles do not end up against the next surface you work on.

Use & care
Magnetic holding depends on the part and surface. Nonferrous fasteners may not be attracted to the magnet; keep the tray level for those parts.
